Artistic Director: Ari Weinberg

Ari Weinberg’s directing credits include Another Way Home, Shiksa, and Stars of David (WJT), Hugh and I (Toronto Fringe), and Godspell (Theatre Sheridan). He has also Assistant Directed The Wild Party (Acting Up Stage), Salt-Water Moon (Thousand Islands Playhouse), and Sweeney Todd (Theatre Sheridan). Additionally, Ari has appeared in numerous productions as an actor, including Romeo and Juliet (RMTC), Peter Pan (Stratford Festival), Hana’s Suitcase (Magnus Theatre), Merry Wives of Windsor and Man of La Mancha (Theatre by the Bay). Later this season Ari will direct The Whipping Man for WJT and appear in Rainbow Stage and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra’s South Pacific 

Ari is a certified teaching artist through the Stratford Festival and York University and has taught Shakespeare in elementary schools, high schools, and colleges across Ontario. In 2010, as a response to the It Gets Better campaign, Ari created, produced and hosted Shameless for a Cause! a series of cabaret evenings featuring local and international talent to raise money for LGBTQ youth initiatives. He is a proud graduate of Sheridan College’s Music Theatre-Performance Program.
